Well the app is fubar and I just don’t have the patience to work on it right now so I vibe coded a theme for ClassicPress that has the same look and feel. Apple won’t respond to my requests for a developer account so I can make my app live on the iPhone so there’s no real reason to pursue building the app. I really wanted it to live on mobile devices as well so I could post from there.

At what point did humans start looking at each other and saying, “I really like that bundle of furs and woven fabric you have wrapped around your body.” I mean, appreciation of attire. What really IS attire? How did we become so hooked on clothing? Or is it not the clothing we like but how they make the person wearing them look so by wearing the same thing we hope it makes us look the same way? A form of sexual appeal.

I changed the link on loydschutte.com to point at this page but the change isn’t showing up on the live site. I suspect the server is caching the webpage but oddly, I see the changes in the code but not the render. That’s shouldn’t be like that.

.htaccess  fixed it. Just added a redirect from the old page to the new one. Still not sure why it’s caching or when it’ll be released.

Did the pre-Disneyland cleanup of my Apple Photos app. Removed all the cruft making room for all the new memories.

I lost a post. I cleaned up my computer and inadvertently deleted something I needed. Interestingly the post wasn’t saved to github.

Ah, I see now. It creates a file in your Documents called RadioBlog that stores all your stuff locally. Deleting that file is a no-no. Mark that down for future reference. 

Actually raining a little bit today. It’s all tropical monsoonal moisture though so it’s 75 degrees outside with 64% humidity. Disgusting. It feels like we’re in Florida.

Trying to use local models is hard work.

It’s been entirely too long since I pulled out my camera and took pictures. Too long.

Drinking tea because I need a little bit of mellow with my caffeine. Shit’s about to get real soon.

I’ve become a lot more focused on how Google is no longer “do no evil” and is more about profit than users which makes me also think it’s well past time to get off Gmail completely.

Just stole the wipe board that’s supposed to go up in our kitchen and be our grocery list to be my post-it note scrum board. Old ways die hard.

Got enough to do without adding “wish list” things. Focus on the goal people. Stop moving the goal posts.

Look, if you ask me to do something and say it’s a priortiy then it’s not only a priority to me it’s a priority to you and you’re expected to be available and helpful. Otherwise it’s obviously not a priority to you and therefore not one to me either. It’s not that hard to understand.

I’m not really a browser sidebar person. I’d rather have it wider and shorter than taller and narrower.

Trying Zen browser. It doesn’t seem to reload the page when I hit reload. I know there’s new content because the site I’m browsing is this one.

Going to delete it. I guess that’s ok. Not a fan of the whole sidebar instead of tabs on top thing.

Stress acne because at 55 I’m still going through puberty.

Fell asleep too early. Woke up too early. Still tired but can’t sleep. It’s a vicioius cycle.

My eyebrow color just started coming back. If it goes grey from stress again I’m gonna be pissed.

Ugh. I want to go back to bed.

Saturday and working. Getting what I can done so I can maximize my time today.

Suuuuuuuper stressed right now.

That moment when you’re about to take a drink of your coffee and you look down to see an unknown black object floating.

Working weekends for 2 weeks. Going to get bumped up 3 taxe brackets in OT pay alone.

Timed out until 5:50. I got 4 things done today but it’s not enough. Found one very important thing I missed entirely.

I’ve switched over to the Post-It note project management system. Things have gotten serious.

When a coworker uses ChatGPT to put everyone in suits for their Teams profile pic this is mine.

Taking my after lunch nap and felt something crawling on me to find a pincer bug in my bed. Now I keep imagining things crawling on me.

Also, ChatGPT made me look older and “rougher” in that photo. I don’t look quite like that.

Nor do I have ANY tattoos.

Had an alopement dream last night. If you’ve never experienced an autistic child alopeing consider yourself lucky. It’s one of the scariest things to suddenly find your child gone then run around the neighborhood in your bare feet trying to find them. To this day I have PTSD about it and it happened 20 years ago.

It’s another one of those days.

Celebrating my birthday this weekend. Double nickels.

The Gann fire is now 40% contained and has shown no growth overnight. It’s cloudy and humid today so hopefully that helps. Unfortunately there was a fatality.

Listening to Collective Soul and remembering some pretty rough days.

Knew this was going to happen months ago.

The Gann fire has spread to 10k acres and they arrested a guy who was evidently operating some kind of machinery which sparked and set the fire. He was also charged with being unable to contain the fire. Unless he was burning something or welding next to dry grass I don’t see how he’d be negligent. 

The Gann fire is now 7k acres. Winds along the east side are pushing it north and along the west side pushing it south. Watched the aircraft assigned to the fire on Flightradar24.com yesterday. 

It may be my stuffy sinuses but I have a problem following some accents even though the person is speaking American English. Maybe I just need more coffee?

Woke up exra early again. If we don’t  do time change every year my body may never get used to it. It’s still stuck in the 1970s time change.

My Windows machine booted directly to the bios. Weird.

Well there’s a fire between Sonora and Jamestown. Those of us who travel that route frequently have been looking at that area wondering when it’s going ro burn. It was massively overgrown with brush and trees. Guess it was it’s time. Hopefully it wasn’t caused by the Sonora Arsonist.

Who is the Sonora Arsonist you ask? They’re an urban legend that someone sets fires around Tuolumne County and the Sonora area. There is evidence to support the existence of such an individual in sightings of someone around fire scenes and they even arrested and jailed someone for setting fires some years ago.

There are actually 2 fires now. One north of 108 and west of 49 and the other about a mile up the road on the south side of 108. Most of Sonora is in the evactuation zones.

People not doing what they should be doing is keeping me from what I need to be doing. Do your doing.

This thing is failing every morning now and I have no idea why. 

Also, acne at my age. Am I finally going through puberty?

Happy today is more mellow than yesterday.

Boy, sure called that one wrong. Today was FAR from being mellow. Replaced the boys keyboard and he turned around and trashed it deliberately and then melted down for HOURS.

Today’s subject of interest: Trieste.

Got some nuts yesterday at Casa de Fruita near Gilroy so of course they’re garlic flavored. They are EXTREMELY garlic flavoroed and INCREDIBLY salty.
